MOON OVER DOBBINS FARM

Moon Over Dobbins Farm
Upstate South Carolina

The moon does not fight.
It attacks no one.
It does  not worry.
It does not try to crush others.
It keeps to its course,
but by its very nature, it gently influences.
What other body could pull
an entire ocean from shore to shore?
The moon is faithful to its nature
and its power is never diminished.

  1. What a good illustration of your blog's title, "The Shape of Light." The moon looks like it's balancing on the tree. I love this composition! It's snowing/blowing again here. Bob just left for skiing. We head to the beach in CA in about a week.

  3. All of your images are quite breathtaking! I agree with Barb about this one, though when I looked at it it was as if the tree branch was leaning down and the moon was rolling down it, possibly about to fall off, like the way I've seen a juggler rolling a ball down his arm and then catching it in his hand and rolling it back up. So to me this tree is a mischievous juggler! I really like the poem too and it is good to see you back blogging George

    1. Great to hear from you, Morelle, and delighted that you like the images. I've missed the blogging community, and I look forward to reconnecting with friends, like you, who I met through Transit Notes. All the best ~
