Barred Owl (Owlet)
Home
Upstate South Carolina
These images of a young barred owlet
were made about fifteen minutes after it
emerged from its nest in an old sycamore cavity
and experienced the outside world for the first time.
All of this occurred about forty feet from our veranda.
Wishing your new friend a long and happy life.
ReplyDeleteThese photographs are so beautiful. Thank you. What a moment to capture. How wonderful to be in the right place at the right time with a camera! Where I live, I often hear the Boobook Owl at night. I have been lucky enough to see him once - but, sadly, with no camera to hand! Thank you again for posting so much beauty.

A new world to explore. Welcome little owl. I wonder how it is now? And I hope you and yours are well too, George
